Lustres are based on metallic compounds thinned with organic solvents. After firing they form a very thin layer, with intensive brilliant and a metallic-iridescent colour character.
The firing temperature range is: 480/620 ºC for glass / lead cristal glass; 650/750 ºC for earthenware; and 750/880 ºC for porcelain / ceramics.

Marble Coatings
Craquelle solutions (marble coatings) are water/alcohol solutions of binders, which cause marble effects after the application and firing on lustres o bright gold.
These solutions cause very interesting craquelle effects, which can be used on glass, earthenware and porcelain.
